Lockdown 4.0LOCKDOWN TO END TOMORROW NIGHT
Acting Premier James Merlino has announced that metropolitan Melbourne will move out of lockdown at 11.59pm tomorrow night.
The five stay-at-home rules will no longer apply, with the 10km travel limit expanded to 25km. The only reasons to travel further than the updated bubble is for those five essential reasons.
Schools will resume face-to-face learning from Friday.
Masks will also no longer be required outdoors unless people cannot maintain a distance of 1.5 metres, but they will be mandatory in all indoor settings (including retail, public transports and workplaces).
Restaurants and cafes can reopen with a maximum of 50 patrons indoors, and retail will also reopen with strict density requirements of one person per four square metres.
Funerals and religious gatherings will be limited to 50 people, while weddings are capped at 10 attendees.
